Why do we support the Wigs and Prostheses Division of the American Cancer Society? (Reach To Recovery®)
Cancer treatments can cause major changes in the way you look. Treatment can also cause major changes in how you feel about your body and your body image. For some people, this is a very tough time and these changes can be hard to adjust to. By providing funds to support the American Cancer Society's wigs and breast prosthesis program, we can help survivors regain a sense of self and help them feel better by looking better. This may be done by wearing an attractive turban, scarf, cap or wig and/or finding a comfortable breast form that looks natural and feels secure.
How much does a breast form (prosthesis) or mastectomy bra cost?
There are many different kinds of breast forms, and the prices vary.
- Silicone Prostheses $180 and up
- Non Silicone Prostheses $30 and up
- Equalizers & Enhancers $80 and up
- Post Reconstructive/Surgical Bras $30 +
- Post Surgical Camisoles $65 and up
- Mastectomy Bras $36 and up
