In 2009 the Breast Cancer Tea Committee added a new event to the Tea Day festivities to honor survivors.
Every survivor had the opportunity to introduce him or herself, how long they have been a survivor and to take the Walk of Honor on the pink ribbon carpet. Each survivor was presented with a pink rose and after everyone had taken the Walk of Honor all guests joined together to sing Happy Birthday to them. It was a very special and touching time for everyone.
